A Call to Action: K Tech Wellness Foundation Visits the National Chief Imam to Launch "Ramadan Reflection"

In a profound move toward community transformation and environmental stewardship, the K Tech Wellness Foundation, founded by Mr Ganiyu Kere, paid a historic visit to the National Chief Imam , His Eminence Sheikh Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu, today. The visit served as a bridge between faith and civic responsibility, marking the official introduction of the Foundation’s newest and most ambitious initiative yet.

A Foundation Rooted in Service

During the visit, leadership from the K Tech Wellness Foundation expressed their deepest respect to the Chief Imam, His Eminence Sheikh Osmanu  Nuhu Sharubutu, and the assembled dignitaries. As a non-governmental organization, K Tech is driven by a singular mission: promoting the holistic wellbeing of individuals within our communities.

The Foundation’s work is built upon three pillars:

1. Community Health and Wellness: Promoting preventative care and healthy lifestyles.

2. Supporting Vulnerable Groups: Providing a safety net for those most in need.

3. Environmental Sanitation: Ensuring the spaces we live in are safe, clean, and sustainable.

The Foundation is already making its mark. Recent successes include major cleanup exercises within the Ablekuma North and Ga Central municipalities, where teams cleared weeds and trimmed hedges that were obstructing road visibility and endangering motorists.

The Purpose: Seeking Blessings and Changing Mindsets

The visit to the Chief Imam was two-fold. First, the Foundation sought the spiritual blessings of the Imam to guide their path. Second, it served as the official launchpad for their upcoming project: "Ramadan Reflection: Kneel Down and Pick It."

Set to kick off on February 14, 2026 at Sabo Zongo, this project aims to spark a psychological revolution among the youth. The message is clear: Do not wait for the government to clean your doorstep. The waste we see in our streets didn't appear by magic—it was placed there by human hands, and it can be removed by human hands.

"Cleanliness is next to Godliness."

Why "Kneel Down and Pick It"?

The "Kneel Down and Pick It" project is specifically designed to transform the Zongo communities and beyond. Instead of pointing fingers at city authorities for choked gutters and flooding, this project asks every citizen to look inward.

The Philosophy of the Project:

• Personal Responsibility: Whatever is in our gutters came from our hands. We are the cause, and we are the solution.

• Spirituality in Action: Ramadan is a time for repentance and self-correction. What better way to show faith than by caring for God’s creation?

• The Symbolism of Kneeling: The act of kneeling to pick up litter represents humility. It is a gesture of service that says, "I am not too big to serve my community."

Our Core Objectives

Through this project, K Tech Wellness Foundation aims to:

• Shift the Culture: Move from a culture of blame to a culture of action.

• Reduce Littering: Help people understand the direct link between throwing a sachet on the ground and the flooding of their homes.

• Unite Faiths: Promote cleanliness as a shared value in both Islamic and Christian teachings.

• Protect Public Health: Prevent diseases and pollution by keeping waterways clear.

The Core Message

Whatever we see on our streets and in our gutters are not spontaneous, they come from our own hands. If we realize this, we will stop dropping it. If we stop dropping it, we will not need to complain about it.

As we approach the holy month, K Tech Wellness Foundation invites everyone—especially the youth—to join us in this movement of humility and hard work. Let us transform our environment, one piece of litter at a time.
