When Goliath Came to Play: NADMO National Outclasses NADMO GCMA in a Friendly Football Match
What was billed as a clash of the titans metamorphosed into a classic David and Goliath match at the GCMA Assembly astroturf on the 4th of September, 2026. However, history failed to repeat itself this time around, with David falling immensely at the hands of Goliath.
The match commenced around 1:00 PM, but the dominant momentum of NADMO National became evident early on. By the end of the first half, the GCMA squad found themselves trailing behind a heavy 4–0 scoreline.
The second half started with a small glimmer of hope as GCMA managed to pull back two goals, bringing the scoreline to 6–2. Yet, that hope was swiftly extinguished when National fired in an additional four goals, forcing the match to end abruptly with a decisive 10–2 final score in favour of NADMO National.
Despite the heavy tally, the standout hero for GCMA was their goalkeeper. Fantastic saves were made throughout the match, without which the scoreline would have been something else entirely.
On the other hand, the tactical changes failed to alter the game's course. Some half-baked players on the NADMO GCMA side—who were exhibiting early signs of knowing how to play well—couldn't make any real impact once swapped onto the pitch, despite all the cacophonies and loud cheerleading from the sidelines.
To NADMO National, we say a big well done on a commanding victory. As for NADMO GCMA, keep your heads high—better luck next time!
